Bach Flower Therapy in the Forest of Dean

Forest of Dean - Winter sunrise

Bach Flower Remedies are a very simple system of remedies that balance emotions and deal with negative mental states, for example:

  • Times of change such as going to a new school, change of job, moving house, puberty and menopause
  • Fear of the dentist, of the dark, or of doing something new, indefinable feelings of foreboding, or fear of doing harm to others or oneself
  • To help you to say “no”, to find your purpose in life (or re-find your purpose if you have drifted off course), or to willingly release your children when it is time for them to fly from the nest
  • A combination of remedies in a study mix helps students to focus and patiently apply themselves to their revision

Although Bach Flower Remedies are prescribed for an emotional “symptom”, since emotions affect how we think and feel, they can have a direct effect on what we might think of as physical conditions, such as insomnia, restlessness, being tired all the time or hyperactivity. Also, somewhat strangely, perhaps, Bach Flower Remedies work well for animals and plants. Remedies for fear are valuable for pets who dislike the noises of fireworks on Bonfire Night and plants appreciate the calming and supportive effect of remedies when they are transplanted or attacked by pests.
